I have never stocked archery products and I don't know much about archery - what products should I start with?
The best product to stock is the fibreglass leisure bow kit. This is designed to be used in the back garden and because the kit contains everything the customer needs - they can take it home and start shooting the bow straight away. The arrows are blunted and both arm and finger protectors are included - so it is a good starter product.
There are three sizes of kit. For youngsters under 10 years old - recommend the 40" kit. The 50" kit is suitable for most people, but if the customer wants something a little stronger recommend the 60" kit.
Customers will then probably return to buy more arrows, so it is worth stocking some spare sets of arrows (they come in packs of 6). 26" fibreglass arrows are the right length for the 40" kit; 28" fibreglass arrows are for the 50" kit; and 30" fibreglass arrows are for the 60" kit.
I stock the basic products - but what do I do when an archer comes in and asks for a "professional" bow?
